Reading Group Recommends: A history of the workers’ movements (documentary)

Our regular, monthly reading group meetings are currently on hold due to Covid 19. Until we’ll be able to meet again, we’ll switch from books to films and recommend documentaries relevant to anarchist theory/thought. First is a history of work and the workers’ movements – “Le temps des ouvriers” by Stan Neumann, part one. This first instalment of a four part series looks at new forms of exploitation in the 18th century, a new economy searching for profit and the industrialisation of the North of England. Watch the documentary here: https://www.arte.tv/fr/videos/082189-001-A/le-temps-des-ouvriers-1-4/ (–> pick your language: French with English or Spanish subtitles available)
